Get Patriotic This Summer!
With the events going on this Summer in Europe and the UK, this is your opportunity to do a bit of patriotic marketing of your red, white & blue plants.
In conjunction with Dümmen GmbH, Young Plants Ltd are pleased to offer some Union Jack based point of sale material.
Firstly, there are rolls of very useful packing tape printed with the Union Jack flag. This tape is very strong and can be used for any application:- around benching, around trolley shelves, anywhere you want. It's 66 meters long, and comes in packs of 6 or boxed of 36 priced £2.70 and £15.60 respectively.
Then, to celebrate the European Football Championships held this year, you can take advantage of football themed Confetti Garden trolley banners and 12cm & 14cm pots. The trolley banners have the Union Jack flag on them too, while the pots are covered in footballs! Don't forget, you need 2 trolley banners - one on each side. Banners are priced at 54p each, with a minimum order of 10 and pots are 4.6p for the 12cm and 10.45p for the 14cm. Minimum order numbers for the pots are 1,500 and 960 respectively.
A fun way to market & sell the red, white and blue colour themed Confetti Garden varieties "Patriot" and "Liberty 2012, or indeed any other Confetti Garden varieties you may choose to put in them!

Geranium RED FOX Salsarita Wins Major Award at Four Oaks Show!
Week 36 - September 2011
Young Plants were immensely pleased to be awarded Best New Bedding Plant at the Four Oaks Show 2011 for the fabulous new RED FOX Geranium series 'Salsarita'
Judges were impressed at Salsaritas stunning colours, especially the eye catching dark red and amazing vigour.
Salsarita, and its sister series Cumbanita, both from the Dummen RED FOX breeding house, are interspecifc cross-breeds of ivy & zonal geraniums, giving the grower and consumer the best of both worlds from a geranium.
Vigour, robustness, flower size & power, drought tolerance all the best characteristics from ivy & zonals incorporated into one plant.

Red Fox Revealed!
Week 26 - June 2011
Our Red Fox Revealed week of Open Days in week 25 proved to be a great suucess, with visitors enjoying their exclusive preview of the Red Fox branded product which will be available in 2012.
Of particular note was the lovely black petunia Sweetunia Black Satin (see pic), and the eye-catching new Confetti Garden mixes, which really won over many people.
Visitors enjoyed a light lunch and expert advice from Dummen's managing director Perry Wismans who was on hand to explain the finer points of the ranges available.

GroSouth a Success
Week 45 - November 2011
The GroSouth Show held at Roundstone Nurseries on the 9th November proved to be a great success. Both for YPL, as Silver Sponsors, and also Roundstone Nurseries, who are the organisers.
The Show has gone from strength to strength following the demise of Monro South, and has now firmly established itself as one of the premier shows on the horticultural events calendar.

Awards Galore for Young Plants Ltd at HTA Show
Week 26 - June 2011
Petunia Queen Bee won the Visitors Vote for favourite new annual plant at the 2011 HTA Show recently. This was in addition to the four awards Young Plants had already picked up, following the judges voting before the show. Both Queen Bee and the fabulous new Sweetunia Black Satin won Gold Awards, and Salsarita Dark Red (a new interspecific geranium) and Ivy Geranium Pacific Black Night both won Bronze awards.
Young Plants Limited' Managing Director Alex Newey said he was 'delighted' with awards, saying that 'Young Plants Ltd's alliance with the Red Fox brand is proving it's worth already, we are looking forward to an exciting 2012 season in conjunction with Dummen and their successful ranges."

Young Plants Ltd and Dümmen Set to Bring the Red Fox Brand to the UK & Eire
January 2011
A strategic alliance has been formed between Young Plants Ltd and Dümmen GMBH whereby Dümmen has appointed Young Plants Ltd as its sole distributor of the Red Fox brand of plants within the United Kingdom & Eire.
From January 17th 2011 Young Plants Ltd will be the sole distributor of Red Fox poinsettias and from July 1st 2011 Young Plants Ltd will be the sole distributor of other Red Fox branded annual bedding plants within the United Kingdom & Eire.
This is great news for all YPL customers, who will now have access to some of the best breeding lines on the market today.
Geraniums are one of Dümmen’s most successful breeding lines, including dark foliaged ’Savannah’ series and the vigorous, double flowered ivy series ’Pacific’ .
Other exciting new products available are the ‘Confetti Garden’ range of duo & tricolour varieties. Fantastic new marketing concepts called “123...Sunny Summer” and “123… My Colour”, which offer growers the opportunity of putting together a colour co-ordinated, well matched range, along with branded POS material including packs, banners, labels, tape and pack handles.

Get Your Seeds from Young Plants
Since the first of August 2009 Young Plants have been firmly involved in the seed business with the development of their Whitehill Seed Company bringing the strength of Goldsmith and Floranova seeds to all of their existing plug plant customers.
‘Ordering seed from us could not be easier’, said Alex Newey, M.D of Young Plants, ’all orders received by lunch time are being sent out directly to the grower from the supplier subject to availability by the following morning, the turn around times are fast and the fact that we are dealing directly with the seed producers means that all product is supplied fresh’.
